Job Description

CELOTTI WORKFORCE is seeking experienced Pipe Crew Foreman and Pipelayers for civil projects in Hervey Bay, QLD .

If you have hands-on experience in installing sewer, stormwater, and water mains reticulation systems, we want to hear from you! This opportunity is open to candidates considering relocation , and we’re happy to accommodate notice periods for the right applicant.

As a Pipe Crew Foreman, you’ll lead and supervise a team of pipelayers, excavator operators, and labourers, ensuring projects run efficiently.

Pipelayers will work closely with the crew to install and maintain pipelines to industry standards. Proficiency in shooting levels and a strong understanding of SEQ codes are essential for Foreman roles, while all applicants must have relevant industry experience. Additional qualifications and the ability to read and interpret plans will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of pipelayers, excavator operators, and labourers, ensuring safe and efficient operations (Foreman role).
  • Carry out the installation of deep sewer, stormwater, and water mains reticulation systems in residential subdivisions.
  • Ensure SEQ standards are met, maintaining compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Manage daily tasks and site activities, including resource allocation and scheduling (Foreman role).
  • Conduct quality inspections, promptly addressing any issues.
  • Work effectively in adverse ground conditions, applying best civil drainage practices.
  • Communicate with supervisors and project managers, providing updates and addressing challenges.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Civil Drainage Foreman (for Foreman applicants) OR solid experience as a Pipelayer in civil drainage projects.
  • Experience installing deep sewer, stormwater, and water in residential subdivisions.
  • Strong understanding of SEQ codes and safety regulations, with a commitment to OHS and Safe Work Practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in accurate level shooting and use of levelling tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams (Foreman role).
  • High-risk work tickets and plant machinery tickets will be highly regarded.
