Waste Truck Driver – Chinchilla, Qld

Our client currently requires an experienced Driver to join their Chinchilla Depot.

About the Role:

  • 35-45hrs per week (Mon – Fri)
  • Safe operation of the vehicle in line with company policies and procedures
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Accurate completion of paperwork
  • Collection and disposal of waste, which will include manual handling
  • Work as a team to complete tasks in the best interest of the client and the company

This position is ideally suited to an experienced Driver with the following:

  • HR or MC Licence preferred – minimum 2 years driving experience
  • Hiab/Crane truck experience (highly desirable)
  • Previous skip, liquid and hook lift experience (desirable)
  • Forklift ticket (desirable)
  • Mechanical knowledge would be advantageous  – ability to assess breakdown requirements
  • Be self-motivated and dedicated to meeting client needs
  • Commitment to maintaining clean and safe work practices and environment
  • Ability to work both within a team and autonomously, including the ability to work unsupervised
  • Knowledge of the Surat Basin and surrounding areas
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
