About us

Celotti Workforce is a specialist provider of Healthcare workers across the Northern Territory and Queensland.

Our client, a national home-visiting Doctor service, is currently seeking 9 x Doctors to cover after-hours shifts in Darwin and Palmerston regions in the Northern Territory. The service is fully accredited under the standards of the RACGP, and provides after-hours support to 12,000 GP clinics Australia-wide and helps to take pressure off our hospital emergency departments. Over 700 Doctors work with the team providing urgent medical care to meet patient needs.

The position

9 x Urgent Care Medical Practitioners are required to commence asap, to support the rapidly expanding Darwin/Palmerston after-hours service. All consultations are home-visits, with some consultations in aged care facilities. Patients require urgent episodic care, similar to Cat 4 and Cat 5 ED presentations.

Work part-time to supplement current income, or full-time hours, depending on your individual circumstances. Shifts are available within the following times:

  • After 6pm weeknights, until midnight
  • After 12noon Saturdays, until midnight
  • All day Sunday and Public Holidays

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Full-time Doctors (38 hours per week for 12 month term with 4 weeks holiday time) are guaranteed to receive $250,000 p.a. in fees over the contract term with the potential for further fees of $80K based on performance.
  • Part-time Doctors working 3 shifts per week including weekends will be offered 65% of billings or $150 guaranteed, whichever is greater.
  • Offers pathway to RACGP Fellowship – Qualifies as ‘partially comparable’ general practice experience under RACGP criteria.
  • Excellent remuneration and flexible working hours subject to service requirements. Spend more time with family, study or other commitments.
  • Robust clinical governance and support.
  • Gain valuable experience in urgent primary care.
  • Opportunity to travel and work in other cities/states.

Skills & Experience required

  • Essential: General registration with AHPRA
  • Essential: PGY3+
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills
  • Emergency and paediatrics experience preferred
  • Experience in women’s health/fertility desirable, though certainly not essential.
