Community Liaison Officer (BDM) – Healthcare NT

  • Flexible working hours / work from home / part-time or full-time.
  • $30/hr base + super (+ commissions!).
  • Make a real different to Northern Territory’s health services!
About the company
Celotti Workforce is a recruitment company based in Darwin NT, specialising in supply of temporary and permanent staff. We are partnered with a national provider of healthcare services and we are looking for a Community Liaison Officer (effectively a Business Development Manager), to support the growth of the Darwin business. This is a part-time opportunity (24 hours per week), however there is potential for the right candidate to take on additional Recruitment activity within our team, which could take the position to full-time. The additional Recruitment work would attract significant financial commissions.

The goal of the position is to strengthen the awareness of this Healthcare Service among various stakeholders in the Darwin community, including: parents with children at kindergartens and schools; nursing staff at aged care homes; doctors and nurses at hospitals and GP clinics. We require an  energetic  and  organised  person with an engaging style (aka a great personality!) to drive this activity. The follow-on recruitment work involves placing healthcare workers (Doctors, Nurses, Sonographers and support staff) into positions within the service.  Prior recruitment experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.

Scope of role
The BDM will be responsible for completing the following tasks:

  • Establishing, building and maintaining business relationships with staff at aged care facilities, hospitals, pharmacies and GP clinics, and parents at schools, kindergartens and other community organisations.
  • Preparing presentations, promotional materials and other collateral as required.
  • Identifying promotion and awareness-raising events and activities in the local area.
  • Sharing your insights from meetings with our Head Office staff via email and phone calls.
  • Substantial car travel throughout Darwin will be required. It is essential for candidates to have access to their own car. All Vehicle costs will be fully reimbursed.
  • Should you be interested in taking on the full-time aspect of the role, additional responsibilities will be to engage and recruit local, interstate and overseas medical staff including Doctors, Nurses, Sonographers and support staff into positions within the service. Prior recruitment experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.

Skills and experience required

  • A friendly and engaging communication style in face-to-face meetings and via telephone and email is required.
  • Previous experience working in the health, indigenous health or aged care sector is desirable.
  • The capacity to work independently to deliver an agreed plan and to report on outcomes in a timely and clear manner via email.
  • Contact details for two recent referees are required.

Remuneration

  • This is either a part-time (24 hours) or full-time (38 hours) position. We are flexible as to when and where these hours are worked. The flexible working arrangements could suit a parent returning to the workforce with young children in school.
  • The pay is $30 per hour plus super. The full-time position will also attract significant commissions.
