Team Assistant – CSG Operations – Wandoan QLD (5/2 Roster)

>> $68-$78K package (incl. $10K local allowance)

Our client holds a long-term contract with QGC for Coal Seam Gas (CSG) plant operations and maintenance and is currently seeking an experienced administrator/receptionist to join their busy site-based team located near Wandoan QLD.

Reporting to the Plant Manager and supporting the operational staff, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  • answering phones and directing calls to appropriate staff members;
  • greeting clients, contractors and other visitors, organising site tours, ensuring appropriate sign-in, inductions and issuing PPE;
  • organising in-house meetings and activities;
  • collecting and distributing mail and organising despatch of outgoing mail;
  • organising staff travel arrangements;
  • maintaining internal filing system and file correspondence for the Project;
  • raising requisitions, receipting delivery dockets and processing invoices;
  • managing weekly transaction reports, Company credit card, IPOS, business expenses and petty cash for plant operations;
  • maintaining chemical deliveries, incident reports, sludge removal and waste tracking records;
  • maintaining and tracking procurement of tools and equipment;
  • adding new supplier requests, and changing supplier details as required;
  • liaising with corporate management and regional offices to ensure efficient transfer of information;
  • inputting various operational data into spreadsheets and databases, producing and formatting reports and graphs;
  • assisting Training Administrator with the management of local training records and on-site training sessions; and
  • complying with company policies and procedures at all times.

To be considered, you will need to possess the following:

  • experience in a receptionist/administrative role in a project based environment;
  • knowledge of document control systems;
  • experience with data input and analysis;
  • experience with finance related activities and understanding of basic accounting principles;
  • experience with team assistance of remote/rural workforce on a roster/FIFO arrangement;
  • high level of verbal and written communication skills;
  • well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills;
  • ability to work unsupervised and to self-motivate;
  • good attention to detail;
  • friendly and professional behaviour;
  • QCE/HSC or equivalent;
  • intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access; and
  • motor vehicle drivers licence.
